The 2025 Section V Class AA Girls’ Basketball Bracket features two teams from Monroe County Division I, five squads from Monroe County Division II, five from Monroe County Division III, one from Monroe County Division IIII, two from Private Parochial and two from Rochester City Athletic Conference. First-round matchup between 16-seeded Wilson/Early College and the 17-seeded Gates Chili happened on Saturday with Gates Chili earning the victory to move on to face Hilton. Second round matchups start on Tuesday and the finalists duel on March 8.
Top-seeded Hilton begins the postseason with one loss to its name boasting a 19-1 record. The Cadets are looking to defend its sectional title from last year. Class A’s champion from last year, Aquinas, snatched the three-seed and enters the postseason on a 15-game win streak. Penfield is riding a five-game win streak and comes in as the two-seed.
