
The 2025 Section V Class C1 Boys’ Basketball bracket features three teams from Livingston County Division III, two teams apiece from Genesee Region Division I, Wayne County and the Private-Parochial League along with a team each from Livingston County Division III and Finger Lakes West round. First-round matchups tip off on Tuesday, February 25 as the final two teams in C1 face off on Friday, March 7 at 9.m.
After falling in the first round of the C1 playoffs last year, Geneseo enters the postseason this year as the top seed with a 16-4 record. The Blue Devils have won seven of its last eight games by 14 points or more. Alexander rolls into its inaugural postseason in Class C1 on a four-game win streak all by double-figures and a 16-4 record. The Trojans battled all the way to the Class C2 Finals as the two-seed in 2024, but fell to No. 1 seeded Byron-Bergen in the championship 52-46. Gananda follows in the third spot with a 15-5 record as the the Blue Panthers have won four of the past five. Fourth-seeded Red Creek enters the postseason with a 14-6 record coming off of a 38-point victory to end the regular season. A new champion will be crowned as Lyons, the reigning champs of C1, made the move to Class B2. No. 10 in Class C1 Byron-Bergen are defending champs of Class C2. Here’s the breakdown:
