The 2025 Boys’ Basketball Class AA2 Sectional tournament consists of two teams from Monroe County Division II, five teams from Monroe County Division III, one team from Monroe County Division IV and one team from Rochester City Athletic Conference. First-round action begins on February 26 and the finalists will meet on March 8.
Top-seeded Greece Athena (No. 10 NYSSWA) will face the winner of Greece Arcadia and Wilson in the quarterfinal. The Trojans enter having won six of their last seven, including a victory over Class AAA No. 1 seed Rush-Henrietta. This is the first year since 2013 of the Class AA2 division in Section V and there is no defending champion. No. 2 seed Canandaigua won eight games in a row before dropping the season finale to Greece Athena. The Grey Wolves will face No. 7 Brockport in the quarterfinal. No. 6 Spencerport won three of its last four to end the regular season. Here’s the breakdown:
