The 2025 Class A Boys’ Basketball Section V tournament consists of five teams from Monroe County Division IV, two teams from Rochester City Athletic Conference, five teams from Finger Lakes-East, two teams from Private Parochial and one team from Monroe County Division IV. First-round action starts on February 25 and the finalists duel on March 8.
Top-seeded East (No. 3 NYSSWA) opens up the sectional tournament on a 12-game win streak and has a first-round bye. Defending Class A champion Wayne is the No. 2 seed and matches up against No. 15 Midlakes. No. 5 Pittsford Sutherland has won two of its last three games, including a victory over Class AA2 top-seeded Greece Athena. Here’s the breakdown:
