Notre Dame-Batavia won the Hoops for Hope Tournament to benefit The Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation for the second straight year. Saturday’s win was ND-B’s seventh in a row. Sofia Falleti poured in a game-high 15 points alongside nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Gianna Falleti put up 14 points and three steals. Shirley Thompson added seven points. Lucia Fiorentino posted four points with ten boards. Penny Jo Thompson tacked on four.
“This is a special night in our community to remember Michael Napoleone and raise money for pediatric cancer with a hometown rivalry,” said NDB head coach Vinny Falleti.

Asia Wilson’s 14 third-quarter points helped Bishop Kearney shrink a 27-18 halftime deficit to 42-40 by the start of the fourth. Wilson finished with a team-high 23. Leah Dukes posted 12 in the second half and ended with 18. Clair Spears tallied eight points. Adriana Kennedy and Tamia McCadney each added a 2-pointer. Evie Walcott scored 12 of her game-high 26 in the third quarter to lead Nichols. Julie Cruz added 16.

Hornell made 19 threes, 10 from Jordan Dyring, who also had 38 points, four boards, four assists and two steals and the Red Raiders built a 53-23 halftime lead to spearhead a second consecutive win. Selena Maldonado posted 14 points with six rebounds, three steals and four assists. Payton Bentley added 11 points, five rebounds, three blocks and a steal. Mia Nasca put up nine points, two steals and two assists. Raegan Evingham ended with nine points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. A’jonay Hawkins recorded six points, six rebounds and a block. Zahra Mehr and Alexis Smith scored three points apiece. Teegan Eveland tacked on three rebounds, two steals and an assist. For York, Tessa Rodwell put up nine points and went over 1,000 career points. Isabel Laney posted 20 points, six rebounds and two steals. Rylee Cuozzo contributed nine points and 12 boards. Bree Parsons recorded eight points with 11 rebounds. Fiona Grant tacked on nine points.
“Our offense was clicking because the tone was set on the defensive end,” Hornell head coach Jim Dagon said. “The girls brought great energy and controlled the game from the opening tip.”

Arkport-Canaseraga won its eighth straight behind Payton O’Dell’s game-high 24 points and 17 rebounds. The double-double was the 14th of the season for the senior. O’Dell’s seven first-quarter points helped the Wolves go up 15-4 through eight minutes. Kara Mahany posted 17, including two 3-pointers, with four steals and three assists. Gracen Mahany knocked down three threes and ended with 11 points, five assists and four steals. Morgan Gilbert (3), Autumn Frechette (2) and Jasmine King (2) rounded out the A-C scorers. Gilbert added eight rebounds. Maddie Kellogg posted five boards and four steals. Avery Hoffmann’s 18 led Gananda scorers. Leah Buffan totaled 12 points with two 3-pointers. Ava VanAntwerp (5) and Jordyn Brice (3) chipped in.

After establishing a 30-23 halftime lead, Byron-Bergen scored just four third-quarter points, and its lead shrunk to three. Then, A 15-point fourth lifted the Bees to their fifth straight win. Janessa Amesbury scored a game-high 24. Riley Shallenberger tacked on 12. Lyndonville’s Addison Dillenbeck put up 16, a team-high. Lilly Raduns contributed nine.
