The Cadets downed last year’s Section IV Class AA champion and current NYSSWA No. 19 team behind 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists from Mallory Heise. The senior guard had 16 in the first half to help the Cadets establish a 35-19 halftime lead. Paige Siciliano knocked down two first-quarter 3-pointers. Ella Simonelli scored 10 in the first half and ended with 17 with 10 rebounds. Maddie Murphy scored eight of her ten in the fourth quarter. Jayleigh Esposito posted eight points. Ava Heise tacked on seven. Madeline Patton scored a bucket along with 10 boards. Paige Dean added two. Megan Wolf had nine of her 17 in the first and lead all Horseheads’ scorers. Jordyn Gross tacked on seven. Kaylyn Cook drilled two fourth-quarter 3-pointers. Samantha Bonnell (3), Emma Kamas (2), Mya Piecuch (2) and Madison Ribble (2) rounded out the scoring.

Aquinas defeated the NYSSWA Class A No. 4 team in the Juggler Classic. AJ Orr was AQ’s leading scorer with 20. Loren Green contributed 19. Molly O’Toole recorded 12. Carlee Thomas put up six. Samiyah Wright tallied four. Emily Thornton scored a game-high 22 for Albany.

Heaven Sanford dropped three 3-pointers toward 19 points with 10 rebounds to lead Gates Chili. Cassie Carpenter had nine points. Evelyn Amesbury ended with six points and seven assists. Melice Gaye contributed six points. Hayden Byer tacked on five. Payton Krester and Mia Torres scored two each. Jaimin McDonald led Batavia with 14 points. Ali Tomidy posted five.

East used a 19-1 advantage in the second quarter to take a 27-15 halftime lead. Nevaeh Grisham scored six in the second and 10 total. Gabby Brown-Sturdivant recorded five of her 10 points in the second and finished with nine steals. Darianna Weathers ended with 13. Layla Germany tallied nine. Antwanette Coleman (3), Sinayah Abney (2) and Ji’Asia Norris (2) rounded out the East scorers. Molly Hitchcock scored nine in the first and ended with 12 to lead Livonia. KJ Einhiple ended with eight. Maddie Whitford tacked on five. Alex McKeel (3), Chloe Meys (3) and Lyla Kingston (2) found the scorebook.
