Mallory Heise scored 31 to lead Hilton in a rematch from last year’s state quarterfinal. Heise netted nine of her points in the second quarter when the Cadets outscored Starpoint 21-14 to erase an early deficit and take a six-point lead into halftime. Ava Heise knocked down two 3-pointers toward 11 points in the win. Elena Graziano scored eight points, all in the second half. Maddie Murphy tacked on eight rebounds and scored four. Ella Simonelli contributed four points and six boards. Jayleigh Esposito (3), Paige Siciliano (3) and Madeline Patton (2) rounded out the Hilton scorers. Megan Milleville led Starpoint with 14. Natalie Prezioso ended with nine. Sophia Waliszweki tallied eight. Madelyn Schmidt and Ashlyn Lee each scored six. Caitlin Deney (4), Rya Anastasi (3) and Lauren Serena (3) found the basket. Hilton defeated Starpoint 59-43 in the 2024 NYS Class AA Far West Regional.

Semaj Jackson scored 12 first-half points and 19 total with 10 rebounds as East won its fourth straight. Nevaeh Grisham had 10 of her 12 points in the second half on top of five assists. Gabby Brown-Sturdivant ended with 10 points, 10 boards and four steals. Darianna Weathers tacked on eight. Ali’Yana Robinson (4), Antwanette Coleman (3), Layla Germany (3) and Sinayah Abney (1) also scored for East. Ja’Nyah Reaves and Aimee Turner scored 13 apiece for Arcadia/Olympia. Samara Quintana added four. Jenelle Staples, Calleigh Tracz and Lilyanna Tracz each contributed two.

Every NDB player scored in its win. The Falleti sisters, Gianna and Sofia, scored 12 apiece. Lucia Fiorentino (11) also reached double figures. Emma Fitch and Riley Yunker each chipped in seven. Shirley Thompson (6), Clairissa Milliman (4) and Penny Jo Thompson (4) rounded out Lady Irish scorers.
“Back-to-back games are very difficult,” Lady Irish head coach Vinny Falleti said. “I was happy that the girls were able to come out and have everyone contribute on offense and defense.”
