Webster Thomas outlasts crosstown foe Schroeder

AJ LaLoggia and Billy Quinn combined for 11 fourth-quarter points as the Webster Thomas Titans edged Webster Schroeder, 51-49 on Friday.

Leading 33-32 after three quarters of play, LaLoggia connected on one of his four 3-pointers in the game and converted 3-of-4 free throws over the final eight minutes. Quinn added a pair of field goal and hit 1-of-2 free throw attempts in the fourth.

LaLoggia connected on four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 15 points. Quinn netted seven of his 11 points in the second half.

With the win, Thomas (6-1) bounced back from a 67-59 loss to Gates-Chili.

The Titans had won their previous three previous games by double digits.

Nick Schillaci and Connor Fulkerson led Schroeder (1-5) with 14 points apiece.
