Josh Miner scored a dozen points, and Jason Small contributed 11 points. Joe Andrecolich-Montesand scored six points, and Jaxon Tensley had two points. Trailing by three, both players connected three times from the floor. Jackson Birch added a free throw as the Knights took a 40-36 lead into the fourth quarter. Hayden Birch finished with a team-high 14 points. Jackson Birch had 13. Sam Byrne scored 10 in the win. Luke Phillips (5), Tyler Allen (5), Roman Goldstein (4), Jayden Morale-Cleggett (3) and Ben Turner (1) also scored for Sutherland. Trevor Nally and Josh Shadders scored 11 points apiece to lead Mendon. Nally had five and Shadders four in the second quarter to help the Vikings take a 25-22 lead into halftime. Amari Coleman added nine points. John Leitner (8), Cayden Rathman (5) and Ryan Connolly (2) finished off the scoring for Mendon. The game, held at the University of Rochester’s Palestra, was part of the annual Rainbow Classic in which proceeds from the event are donated to the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
