Kavon Pitts and Kevin Guy rushed for two touchdowns each to lead Health Sciences/BASC to the Class B Far West Regional title. Pitts opened up the scoring halfway through the first quarter with a 45-yard rushing touchdown. Before the halftime whistle blew Guy ran in a touchdown from 20 yards out to give the Falcons a 20-0 lead going into the break. Guy finished with 11 carries for 130 yards on the ground and Pitts ended with 119 yards on 13 carries. Dwayne Collins led Eastridge with a 37-yard reception. Health Sciences will face Section IV’s Maine-Endwell next Saturday.
CLASS C
SALAMANCA (11-0) 42
EAST ROCHESTER/GANANDA (9-2) 20
Xavier Peters rushed for 239 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries as Salamanca clinched back-to-back appearances in the NYS Class C semifinals. Peters scored on runs of 6, 21, 27 and 37 yards to lead a Salamanca rushing attack that gained 428 yards on the ground. Peters started the scoring. Cory Holleran and Quinten Brown added a touchdown apiece as the Warriors grabbed a 22-0 lead with 8:32 remaining in the first half.
Cadearrell Sneed Jr. scored from 50 yards out to get ER/Gananda on the scoreboard. Sneed ended with 19 touches for 136 yards and the score with five tackles – one for loss. Ben Newman hit Justice Allen on a five-yard out to pull the Bombers within 14 at 28-14. Newman finished 22-of-34 for 206 yards and two touchdowns plus 29 rushing yards. ER/Gananda had the ball inside the Salamanca 30 after Noah Mather gained 15 on end around late in the second quarter, but time expired in the half before the Bombers could capitalize. Mather recorded six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown plus eight tackles.
Jordan Nunn tacked on five receptions for 83 yards including a 32-yard grab on top of six tackles. Justice Allen contributed five catches for 29 yards and six tackles. Ray Allen had a pair of receptions – one for a touchdown – with ten tackles. Andrew Newman made six tackles. Markus Mcclurkin tallied a tackle for loss.
Salamanca came into the game averaging 373.01 yards on the ground. The Warriors improved to 4-3 all-time in regional appearances and will play Chenango Forks next Saturday in the semifinals.
ER/Gananda fell to 1-2 in trips to the regionals. The Bombers beat Medina, 26-24 in 2021.

Caleb Felski ran for 428 yards and scored five total touchdowns plus two caught interceptions to lead Pembroke in its Far West Football Regional win. The Dragons outscored Frewburg 22-6 in the second quarter and never surrendered the advantage. Vijay Dhanda and Caleb Kimmel scored touchdowns. Madden Perry registered a team-high 11 tackles. Hayden Williams tacked on an interception. Pembroke moves on to face Frankfort-Schuyler (Section III) for the West Regional Championship next Friday, Nov. 29th at Vestal High School.
