Ben Newman led ER/Gananda to its first sectional title since 2021 throwing 18-of-20 for 189 yards and two touchdowns with 29 yards and another score on the ground. In the final minute of the first quarter, Newman used his legs to find the end zone from 10 yards out to establish a two-score advantage. Cadearrell Sneed Jr. rumbled across the chalk from a yard out nine minutes into play for the game’s first score. Six minutes before halftime, he received a 19-yard touchdown that extended the Bomber lead. In all, Sneed ran 22 times accumulating 148 yards with five catches for 56 yards and two total touchdowns with two tackles for loss including a sack defensively. Noah Mather made three catches for 35 yards including a 33-yard third quarter score plus an interception and nine tackles. Jordan Nunn added six receptions for 62 yards and an interception with five tackles. Ray Allen and Justice Allen caught two balls each and combined for nine tackles. Nicholas Falso tacked on five tackles. Sam Carey contributed five tackles.
To lead Le Roy/Cal-Mum, Jack Egeling took 20 rushes for 108 yards. Brady McClurg was involved in both Rivals touchdowns and in total passed 7-of-9 accumulating 77 yards on top of seven carries for 37 yards. McClurg ran in a short score late in the first half to put LR/C-M on the board before adding a fourth quarter touchdown pass to Dillon Alcott. Alcott had three catches for 44 yards including the 23-yard touchdown. Connor Elmore tallied three catches for 23 yards with three tackles. Xavier Bowen got a catch and five tackles. DJ O’Geen recorded eight tackles – three for loss. Holden Sullivan registered six tackles – one for loss. Trent Kessler ended with six tackles. Jace Jedrewski added three tackles and recovered a fumble.
