West Herr Saturday Football Wrap: Newman, Sneed Jr. score three times each; Heininger, Snowden lead Brighton rally

Ben Newman threw for three touchdowns and Cadearrell Sneed Jr. ran for three in ER/Gananda’s first win of sectionals. In all, Newman ended 12-of-17 for 199 yards and Sneed Jr. took 26 touches for 264 scrimmage yards plus a sack on defense. Justice Allen caught four balls – two for touchdowns – and ended with 83 yards. Noah Mather had three receptions for 60 yards and a score. Ray Allen led the way defensively with 10 tackles including a sack. Jordan Nunn, Nicholas Falso and Nathan Tandle made seven tackles a piece and the latter two added a tackle for loss. Tyler Leisten tallied six tackles. Brennen Ingram contributed five tackles. The Bombers advance to face Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford in the Class C finals. For Hornell/A-C, Brody Flaitz ended with seven completions for 89 yards and two touchdowns. On the receiving end of both scores was Aaron Mcinerney, who recorded three catches for 39 yards. Izaiah Adams tacked on 82 scrimmage yards with a touchdown. Austyn Gollnitz rushed 24 times for 86 yards.
