How they arrived here: East Rochester (No. 4 NYSSWA) topped Addison (3-0) and Williamson (2-0) to advance to the Class C1 title game, where the Bombers beat Byron-Bergen/Elba, 3-2. Kendall (No. 5 NYSSWA) downed Gananda (7-1) and Campbell-Savona (2-1) to reach the C2 title game, where it defeated Genesee Valley-Belfast, 3-1.

History 101: East Rochester’s C1 title was its sixth sectional championship in program history. ER is looking to make its first appearance in the state quarterfinals since 2010 when the Bombers knocked off Maple Grove (VI), 2-1. Kendall’s last regional appearance came in 1998 when the Eagles beat Allegany-Limestone (VI), 3-2.
What’s next: The winner of the qualifier faces its opposite number (either Randolph or Allegany-Limestone) from Section VI on Friday, November 8, at Geneseo High School.
