The 2024 Section V Class B tournament features 16 teams, including seven from the Livingston County Athletic Association, one each from the Genesee Region, Wayne County League, and Private-Parochial ranks, two from Finger Lakes East, one from Finger Lakes West and two independents. Every team will begin play in the first round on Wednesday, October 23rd, with the finals coming on Saturday, November 2nd at Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Topping the bracket this season is Livonia (15-0-1), going for its second sectional title in three years. The Bulldogs’ lone blemish was a tie to second-seeded Hornell (12-1-1) on Sept. 13. Hornell is the defending champion of the class, and while they forced Livonia to a draw in their first meeting, they later lost the second matchup on Oct. 3 for their lone loss of the season. Third-seeded Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford (12-3-1) started off the season 0-2-1 but has since gone 12-1-0 and enter the tournament on a four-game win streak. Dansville (10-6-0) rounds out the top four seeds and aims for the school’s first sectional title.
