GREECE POST 468 (13-1) 8 GAME 1
Weston Elkovitch went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBI, and two runs scored as Greece Post grabbed an early lead and went to win its 13th straight game. Drew Wilson struck out two batters and allowed two hits in four innings to help pick up the win. Greece Post got on the board in the first inning with a Derick Allen sacrifice that brought home Brody Froman. Elkovitch followed with a single to drive in Brady Gerig. Andrew Lenhard connected on a home run in the second inning to make it a 3-0 game. Elkovitch added to the scoring in the third with a double that plated Allen. Braedon Reina singled and Elkovitch took advantage of an error on the play to come home. Kaleb Juliano made it a 6-0 game with an RBI single. Froman went 2-for-2 along with two walks and a run scored. Joe Sanna finished 2-for-4 with two RBI. Chili Post’s Jamie Derleth cut the seven-run deficit to five with a two-run single that scored Alex Spezzano and Bobby Rule home. Derleth went 2-for-4. Spezzano was 1-for-3 and Rule finished 1-for-2 with two walks.

Patrick Zeiser delivered the go-ahead runs with a two-out single in the fourth inning as Greece Post erased an early deficit for a doubleheader sweep. Trailing 5-2 in the third, Greece tacked a pair of runs on the board to make it a one-run game. Joey Sanna drew a one-out walk to start the fourth-inning rally. Mason Davey reached on a hit by pitch, and Kaleb Juliano worked a walk to load the bases. Andrew Lenhard tied the score with a sacrifice fly. Zeiser plated Davey and Juliano to give Greece a lead it did not surrender. Sanna put the game out of reach in the fifth with a double that scored Derick Allen and Weston Elkovitch for a 9-5 lead. Sanna finished 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. Zeiser went 1-for-2 with three RBI and a walk in the win. Liam Eshelman struck out two over six innings of work on the mound to pick up the win. Brady Gerig was 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored in the win. Braedon Reina doubled as part of a 2-for-2 effort. Juliano went 1-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored. Davey scored twice. Elkovitch singled, walked and came home twice. Chili Post’s Parker Farnham tied the game in the first after a double to center field that sent Alex Spezzano and Bobby Rule home. Anthony Indiano brought home Farnham with a single, and Nico Arena delivered a base hit to bring in Jamie Derleth for a lead Chili lead. Indiano went 2-for-2 with two RBI. Rule was 3-for-3 with a walk and run scored. Farnham finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Derleth went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

MEYERS-INGRAHAM (4-7) 9 GAME 1
Matthew Riddell went 2-for-3 including a leadoff triple that kick-started a six-run Meyers-Ingraham second. Jared Swift, Tre Walker, and AJ LaLoggia followed with RBI singles for a 6-1 lead. Riddell doubled and brought home Walker and LaLoggia in the fourth. Nolan Gamble followed with a base hit and a 9-1 lead. Gamble struck out 10 batters and allowed two hits over six innings to pick up the win. Gamble went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Walker went 2-for-2 with an RBI, two walks, and two runs. LaLoggia went 1-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored. Swift went 1-for-2 with a run scored. Braman Post’s Christian Morris and Alex Young both singled and scored.

MEYERS-INGRAHAM (4-7) 0 GAME 2
Nick Olmo struck out six without surrendering a walk and hurled a one-hitter to lead Braman Post. After issuing a one-out hit by pitch in the first inning, the right-hander retired the next 12 batters he faced and allowed one ball out of the infield during that stretch. Olmo used 66 pitches to get through the scheduled six-inning affair and faced two batters over the limit. Alex Young gave Braman Post all the offense it needed with a two-out single in the first that scored Patrick Altpeter. Brennan Pipitone added a run in the fifth with a base hit to drive in Nate Vandevoorde. Pipitone also walked twice. Matt Bartusek went 2-for-3 in the win. Nolan Gamble broke up the no-hit bid with a two-out double in the fifth. Jake Dicicco struck out four batters, walked five, and allowed five hits over six innings of work.
