Liana DeValder (Webster Schroeder) and Olivia Steinorth (Victor) shared the honor for Division I. Maddie Hicks (Webster Thomas) led the Titans to the Section V Class AA title game. Lilly Goldberg (Pittsford Mendon) garnered the honor for a second straight year. Kate Dailor (Honeoye Falls-Lima) made an appearance in the Section V Class A title game with the Cougars. Coaches in each of the Monroe County divisions have announced their Players of the Year honors for this season, as well as All-League teams.
DeValder (Webster Schroeder), like Goldberg, also garnered the honor for a second straight season. The junior hurler finished with a 17-2 record, posting an ERA of 0.77 and fanning 241 over 135.1 innings of work. In 20 games started this year for the Warriors, DeValder hurled 17 complete games, including seven shutouts and two no-hitters. At the dish, DeValder batted .347 with eight extra-base hits, one home run, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored.
Throughout her three-year varsity career so far, DeValder boasts a 30-6 record with a 1.36 ERA. She has posted 441 punch outs in 252.2 innings pitched and has racked up 10 shutouts. DeValder was a member of the 2022 NYSPHSAA Class A State Champion Warriors squad.
Steinorth shared the honor with DeValder and boasted a 0.61 ERA this season for the Blue Devils. The senior right-hander pitched in 17 games this season, whiffing 185 over 114.2 innings of work. Opponents batted just .124 against the senior this season.
Steinorth wraps up her varsity career with the Blue Devils with 470 strikeouts over 317 innings pitched. She started for Victor in the 2022 and 2023 Section V Class AA title games.
Joining DeValder on the Division I First-Team are teammates Bizzie Baglieri and Kinsley Keil. Audrey Steinorth and Ryleigh Fontana both joined Olivia Steinorth from Victor. Juliana Catalano and Nicole Allen both garnered First-team honors from Fairport. Elizabeth Gleghorn and Kadyn Hartel rounded out the team from Rush-Henrietta.
Hicks (Webster Thomas) posted a 15-5 record in the circle for the Titans, striking out 86 with an ERA of 2.16. Her best pitching performance this season came on At the plate, the senior batted .345, connecting on 14 extra-base hits, including four home runs and driving in 32 runs.
Hicks finishes her varsity career with a .354 average and eight home runs. Her 38 career doubles and 97 RBI are both program records for the Titans. The senior reached the Sectional finals in each of her four seasons and blasted a grand slam in the 2023 Class A Far West Regional to send Webster Thomas to the NYS Semifinal.
Joining Hicks on the Division II First-Team are teammates Maddie Thoroumoulos and Ella Maloney. Laney Flynn and Ella Cooley both made the team from Irondequoit. Brighton teammates Vanessa Ng and Madison Marchiole also made the team. Lucy Murphy and Paige Siciliano both received the honor from Hilton. Cassidy Wilt rounded out the First-team from Churchville-Chili.
Goldberg (Pittsford Mendon) finished her senior campaign batting .507 at the plate with 26 RBI, 11 extra-base hits, nine doubles and a home run. In the circle, she went 21-2, striking out 286 and recording an ERA of 1.09 alongside 10 shutouts.
Over her four-year career, Goldberg boasted a 58-15 record with five career no-hitters, including three in a row her junior year and two of which were perfect games. The right-hander struck out at least 200 batters in the last three seasons and hurled 30 career shutouts. Her 897 career strikeouts rank at the top of the Pittsford Mendon program record books. At the dish, Goldberg finished with a career average of .443 with 84 RBI and 33 extra-base hits.
Teammates Maddie Fallows and Greta Marino both joined Goldberg on the Division III First-team. Izzy Neu and Paige Stein received the honor from Spencerport. Seniors Ariana Buchiere and Kelley Burnett were named to the First-team from Canandaigua. Maeve Pettiti and Hanna Carpenter both made the team from Brockport. Gates-Chili’s Abbie Graupman rounded out the First-Team.
Dailor (Honeoye Falls-Lima) batted .532 with an on-base percentage of .605 during her senior campaign. She tallied a hit in 19 of 22 games, including 13 multi-hit games for the Cougars.
Joining Dailor on the Division IV First-Team are teammates Emma Dunman and Madison Schubach. Gabby Lyons, Petra Hunt and Hanna Glanton all made the team from Pittsford Sutherland. Harper Kuhne and Josslyn Siembor both received the honor from Eastridge. Carly Cegielski (Greece Storm) and Giana Mruczek (Batavia) rounded out the First-Team.
