CLASS AAA

LANCASTER (VI) 2

Fairport baseball ended its 2023 season with a stinging 1-0 loss to Lancaster of Section VI in the Class AA Far West Regional. Sam Miller, then a junior, hurled eight-plus shutout innings before being pulled when he reached his state-mandated pitch maximum. On Saturday night, the Red Raiders took the same field against the same opponent with another chance to clinch a spot in the state semifinals.
