How they arrived here: Wellsville opened up the postseason with a 15-0 win over Marcus Whitman. The Lions then beat Livonia 11-1 and Dansville 13-3 to reach the Class B title game, where they earned a 1-0 win over Notre Dame Batavia in a battle of no-hitters. Medina defeated Fredonia 4-3 to earn the Section VI title.

History 101: Wellsville is making its first regional appearance since 2010 and is looking to make its first appearance in the state semifinals since 1998. This is the third time Medina has made it to the Far West Regional since 2019.
