Jenelle Staples, Allison Sywulski and Brook Bassett all registered two hits apiece and combined for eight RBI to lead Greece to the Class AAA finals. Bassett had a triple and led with four RBI. Staples went a perfect 2-for-2 and added three RBI. Starting pitcher Sywulski tossed the first three innings, went 2-for-3 with a double. Carly Segielski finished in the circle and had a double at the plate. Greece will battle Fairport for the Class AAA sectional championship.
No. 3 RUSH-HENRIETTA (11-10) 2
No. 2 FAIRPORT (11-9) 9
Hayden Perry and Nicole Allen sparked a six-run fifth with back-to-back extra-base hits as Fairport sent 11 to the plate to pull away from a one-run game. Perry led the frame with a double and scored on a triple from Allen. Waverly Milliman brought in two more runs with one of her two doubles on the night. Perry capped the outburst with a run-scoring single for the final margin of victory. Perry was 3-for-3 in the win. Milliman finished 2-3 with two runs scored. Both Millie Reed and Juliana Catalano singled and drove in a run. Lauryn Smith and Isidora Hurlbut scored a run apiece. Mikayla Fiorito drove in two and scored a run. Makayla Strack accounted for an RBI. Rush-Henrietta’s Liz Rinella was 2-2 and scored one of two runs in the fourth when the Royal Comets pulled within one at 3-2. Elizabeth Gleghorn singled and scored. Katelyn Militello drove in a run with a base hit. Chloe Smith also had a base hit. Fairport plays Greece for the Class AAA championship on Saturday, May 25 at Finger Lakes Community College.

No. 1 WEBSTER SCHROEDER (20-2) 1
Liana DeValder tossed an 11-strikeout, one-hitter to punch Webster Schroeder’s ticket to the Class AA finals. The game winner was scored in the first inning on a Leah Murray double. Murray finished 2-for-3. Sarah Ferruzza had a hit for for the Warriors as well. Schroeder matches up with Webster Thomas for the Class AA championship.

No. 2 PITTSFORD MENDON (21-2) 8
A single that scored two runs from senior Madison Hicks in the top of the 10th ended up being the difference in the game. The win gave Webster Thomas its fourth trip to a Section V championship game in the last four years. READ MORE.

No. 1 PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (17-4) 11
Petra Hunt tossed a complete game 5-hitter while Gabby Lyons and Alex Sippel combined for six RBI to place Pittsford Sutherland in the Class A finals. Mandy Myers went 3-for-4 and Cara Orlando finished 2-for-3 in the victory. The Lady Knights battle Honeoye Falls-Lima in the Class A sectional finals.

Kate Dailor drilled two home runs to lead HF-L. Honeoye Falls-Lima will face Pittsford Sutherland for the Class A sectional block.

Haverling advances to take on Wellsville in the Class B Sectional finals.

CLASS C1
No. 4 OAKFIELD-ALABAMA (13-5) 1
No. 1 BLOOMFIELD (16-2) 16
Calla McCombs went 4-for-5 including a two-run triple in the fourth when Bloomfield pulled away from what was a one-run game in the third. McCombs finished with six RBI and three runs scored to lead the Bombers. Ashlyn Wright struck out 10 and hurled a two-hitter with one walk. The junior right-hander’s lone run allowed was of the unearned nature. Wright was 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk and an RBI. Brianna Leitten highlighted six-run fifth with a bases-clearing double. Abby O’Brien doubled in a pair of runs in the third to give Bloomfield a 4-1 lead. Add Falsone was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Sawyer Gallup singled and crossed home. Oakfield-Alabama’s Caitlin Ryan went 1-for-2 with a triple and RBI. Emma Moeller and Sayde Bush both finished with a hit as well. Bloomfield takes on the No. 3 seed Letchworth for the Class C1 championship.
No. 3 LETCHWORTH (16-6) 3
No. 2 AVON (16-5) 0
Abbie DeRock tossed a complete game, 17-strikeout no-hitter to down No. 2 seeded Avon and push Letchworth into the Class C1 finals. DeRock finished 1-for-3 at the plate. Tied 0-0 in the seventh with one out, Olivia Wahr reached base on a single to center in her only at-bat. Autumn Mann advanced the runner to third on a single to right. Charity Scott followed a strikeout with an infield hit to break the tie. After a passed ball to go up 2-0, Trinity Scott added another run to the lead with an infield hit. Avon’s Jessie Crye struck out 12 and allowed seven hits, all singles. Letchworth will face Bloomfield for the Class C1 championship.
CLASS C2
No. 5 ALEXANDER (15-9) 6
No. 1 DUNDEE/BRADFORD (16-1) 7
Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh, Mikayla Schoffner launched a two-run shot to left field to send Dundee/Bradford to the Class C2 finals in walk-off fashion. Kailey Yeoman and Madison Sutryk led the offense, both registering three hits in four at-bats, combining for three RBI. Korrin Yeoman, McKenna Miller, Maddie Knapp and Adalyn Tham all registered a hit for the BraveScots. Morgan Sutryk tossed four innings, allowed zero hits, no walks and struck out nine. Addie Kendall and Tham completed the remainder of the match in the circle. Alexander’s Emily Pietrzykowski threw eight innings, allowed one earned run on 10 hits, no walks and nine strikeouts. Madison Boyce and Melissa Sawyer split four hits and two RBI in the loss. Ava Yax, Ella Felski, Carley Shepard and Pietrzykowski all collected a hit. Dundee/Bradford will take on Caledonia-Mumford for the Class C2 championship.

No. 2 CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (17-5) 2
Malina Bellos broke a one-all tie in the sixth inning with a single that drove in Colleen Talty with the winning run to lead Cal-Mum. Bri Lynn doubled and came home in the third inning to open scoring. Emma Years struck out three and hurled a five-hitter to pick up the win. Bolivar-Richburg’s Danika Loucks pushed in the Wolverines’ lone run on a bunt in the sixth inning. Danika Saunders and Sommer Beckwith opened the seventh inning with back-to-back singles. B-R had runners on second and third when the final out was made. Cal-Mum advances to face No.1 seed Dundee/Bradford for the Class C2 championship. Cal-Mum’s last softball championship came in 2018.
“Really happy for this group,” Cal-Mum head coach Dan Dickens said via email. “We played pretty poorly on Monday and to come back and play as solid as we did today shows the pride they take in their play.”
CLASS D
No. 4 GENESEE VALLEY-BELFAST (12-6) 2
No. 1 KESHEQUA (17-4) 7
Isabella Hugi and Kaylin Fox smacked a double apiece to push Keshequa into the Class D finals. Hugi cleared the bases in the third inning to increase the score to 4-0. Fox drilled hers in the sixth to score Ryley Benner and Hugi. Shya Tierney moved the runners into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt in the prior at-bat. Alynn Dunning threw a complete game and picked up four strikeouts. Genesee Valley-Belfast’s Hannah Southwick Powers struck out nine and went 2-for-4 at the dish. Kenna Sands finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and Abby Sullivan went 2-for-4. Jenna Hill, Sandra Guilford and Kale Calanni all had hits in the loss. Keshequa advances to the Class D finals to take on Friendship-Scio.
