Geneseo opened with a win over No. 14 Caledonia-Mumford (7-0), followed by a quarterfinal victory over No. 6 Red Jacket (4-2), and a semifinal win over No. 10 Perry (20-4) to reach the finals.

History 101: Bolivar-Richburg has become a regular in the sectional finals, securing berths in the championship round in five straight seasons. B-R has claimed the title in four of the last five seasons and 11 overall. The Wolverines’ 11 sectional championships have all come since 2000 and are tied for the third most title wins in Section V history. Geneseo has six titles overall in its history. The Blue Devils last claimed a sectional crown in 2018 when they knocked off Red Jacket in the Class C2 final.
What’s at stake: A spot in the Class C regional qualifier against the winner of the Class C1 Final between Letchworth and Avon.
