Angelo Ubal, Alex Rink, and Ezequiel Ofarril each paired a single with an RBI, with Ubal drawing a walk and Ofarril scoring once. Connor Welker singled and scored. Chase Cummings connected on an RBI single in the top of the seventh inning to give Notre Dame Batavia their first lead of the game and complete a comeback from a two-run deficit to win the Batavia Rotary Tournament. Cummings finished with two hits on the day and also drew a walk. Jaden Sherwood was the winning pitcher for the Fighting Irish, striking out nine batters over six and a third innings. Sherwood was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored at the plate. Chase Antinore tripled and singled, while Jay Antinore doubled and singled as well as scored. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was named the MVP of the tournament, singled and threw a perfect final two outs in relief. Evan Fitzpatrick got on base twice via walks. Liam Berger scored. Mitchell Schalberg, Nick Kriegelstein, Weston Elkovitch, John Swartz, and Adam Ruffalo all had one hit each for the Blue Devils. Nate Power hurled three and two third innings as the starter and struck out two batters. Brandon Wilson pitched in relief in between Kessler and Power and threw for an inning and a third.

Junior Javier was 4-for-6 with a triple and a run scored. Edison Tech took advantage of six walks in the decisive fifth inning. SOTA’s Benny Laver was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored to lead the Silverhawks. Paul Stevens singled and scored two runs. Gio Petrone singled, walked twice and scored.
