In the seventh, Motyka put one over the fence in center field to score two more runs and give the Blue Devils a 10-6 advantage. Fortes finished with a double, two RBI, a walk, and two runs scored. Fox had two RBI and a run scored in addition to the second inning double. Gavin Braun earned the win on the mound for the Eagles, striking out four batters over five innings. He additionally threw an inning and a third in relief and earned a strikeout. Trey Buchholz threw a hitless final three innings, tallying four strikeouts over the span.
