Friday Baseball Wrap: Livonia’s Cook drives in three in walk-off win

GREECE ATHENA (1-2) 4

Sammy Saucke went 2-for-4 and trotted home once, but Greece Athena could not erase an early deficit. Ryan Ciccone tripled and drove in Parker Goodness in the seventh. Derrick Allen went 1-for-2. Connor Osier roped a two-bagger and scored once. Allen also hurled three innings in relief, allowing an unearned run on three hits and fanning six. Jayden Rapp had a hit in one at-bat. Jacob Sova tallied an RBI in the fourth.

LOGAN (WV) 2
BROCKPORT (1-2) 1

Greg Rightmyer recorded a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth, cutting the deficit to one for Brockport. Rightmyer also singled in the fourth frame. David D’Ambrosia went 1-for-2 and scored on the sacrifice fly. Talan Ilardo and Nathan Parker both recorded a hit for the Blue Devils. Brayden Scaccia hurled a complete game, allowing four hits and whiffing 10 while allowing one walk.

PALMYRA-MACEDON (0-3) 2
NORTH STANLY (NC) 22

For Palmyra-Macedon, Andy West went 1-for-1 and drove in a run. Isiah Stevens ripped a double and came around to score. Brayden Leo trotted home once.

CALHOUN ACADEMY (SC) 18
NEWARK (0-3) 1

Xavier Smith went 1-for-2 for Newark. Smith trotted home on a passed ball in the first. Cody Forjone also went 1-for-2.

WAYNE (0-3) 3
PRINCETON (WV) 8

For Wayne, Cory Jones went 1-for-2, including an RBI base knock in the second that drove in Aidan Twist. Peter Treasure Jr. and Jared Dier both finished 2-for-4. Treasure Jr. drove in a run with a single in the fourth. Michael Prentice roped a two-bagger the at-bat before, scoring Jones. Twist went 2-for-3 and hurled a scoreless inning in relief. Jones retired the side in order in the sixth. Kahlen Clark and Benjamin Smith both tallied a hit in their lone at-bats. Parker Holtz added a single for the Eagles.

BLOOMFIELD (0-1) 4
LIVONIA (1-3) 5 (8 innings)
Brady O’Keefe worked a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth to walk it off for Livonia. Jackson Cook smacked a two-run double to put the Bulldogs up 2-0 in the second. Bloomfield responded with a four spot in the sixth to take the lead. In the bottom half, Tommy Stewart and Kaidan O’Connor both soaked up a hit-by-pitch to set the table. Jack Tebeau and Cook both drove in a run with singles to even the game at four. Cook finished 2-for-3 with three runs driven in. Tebeau went a perfect 2-for-2 and scored once. Connor Feehan started and went 5.1 innings, striking out six. Stewart came on in relief and fanned two. For Bloomfield, Grady Rogers went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Joe Walsh hurled three innings and struck out six. Braedon Smith, Kyle Dredger and Kevin Dredger all tallied a hit.

WELLSVILLE (4-1) 9
LEWISVILLE (SC) 13

Cooper Brockway and Aiden Cowburn went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI to lead Wellsville in the hit column. Brockway tallied an RBI base knock in the fourth, while Cowburn had a run-scoring single in the second. Cowburn also crossed home once. Alex Green ripped a pair of two-baggers in three at-bats, including a two-RBI double in the sixth. Brennen Geffers finished 2-for-2 and scored twice for the Lions. Tyler Vogel singled, scored twice and drove in a run. Karson Grover tacked on another hit for the Lions.
