It was a big game feel inside a near-capacity Cool Insuring Arena for the NYSPHSAA Class A championship. In the end, the majority of the fans at Glens Falls left happy as the Glens Falls Black Bears knocked off the Wayne Eagles 50-37. In the last few years Avoca-Prattsbrugh has entered the state tournament with a target on its back in Class D. The two-time defending state champion’s target was at its largest entering Saturday’s state semifinal and the Section III champion Sackets Harbor Patriots hit the bullseye.
