West Herr Friday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Fairport’s season ends in Far West Regional; Heise leads Hilton into Class AA NYS semifinal

Jada Crocker dropped nine points, making three baskets inside the arc and three free throws, but it was not enough as Fairport fell in the Class AAA Far West Regional. Lola Pucci and Delany McIntyre both added five points. McIntyre netted a three-pointer. Courtney Merlo chipped in four points. Sandra Rizzo and Amiya Johnson both uncorked a three-pointer. For Lancaster, Madison Francis made six shots inside the arc and scored a game-high 20 points.

Nobody told the Hilton Cadets it was their first regional appearance in program history. The Cadets showed no effects of the stage they found themselves on as they raced out to an early lead and never looked back, knocking off Section IV champion Starpoint in the Class AA Far West Regionals 59-43.
