The 2024 Section V Class A Girls’ Basketball bracket consists of four teams from Finger Lakes East, four from the Private-Parochial League, three independent squads, two squads from Monroe County Division II and two from Rochester City Athletic Conference. First-round action tips off on Wednesday and the finals take place on March 2.
Pittsford Sutherland enters as the top seed and winner in six of the last eight games. The Knights have eclipsed the 70-point mark six times this year. Palmyra-Macedon begins its quest for a second sectional title in the last three years (2021). The Red Raiders have won 15 of the last 16. East finished 10-0 in league play and has won six of its last seven. Here’s the breakdown:
