The 2024 Section V Class AAA Boys’ Basketball bracket features three teams from Rochester City Athletic Conference, two squads from Monroe County Division I and two from Private-Parochial. The quarterfinals tip-off on Friday and the championship is slated for March 1.
This is the first time that New York State has competed at the AAA level. Section V held Class AAA sectional tournaments from 2005-2008 and again from 1975-1988. Aquinas, the top seed, enters having won five of its last seven. Fairport reached the sectional final in 2023, but fell to the eventual state champion, Victor. Franklin and Edison Tech matchup in the quarterfinal for the second straight year. Here’s the breakdown:
