The 2023 Section V Class D Boys’ bracket features three teams from Steuben County, three teams from Allegany County, and a pair of Genesee County schools. The first game of the tournament takes place February 21st, with the championship being held at Blue Cross Arena on March 2nd.
Top-seeded Avoca/Prattsburgh has won three straight sectional titles since merging athletic programs after the 2020 season, a season that saw both Avoca and Prattsburgh win sectional titles as well. No. 2 seed Jasper-Troupsburg enters sectional play having won six of its last seven games, the only loss being a three-point setback against No. 4 seed Hammondsport. Here’s the breakdown:
