The 2024 Section V Class A Ice Hockey playoffs open with two first-round games on Tuesday. Quarterfinals take place on Thursday with semifinals to follow on Thursday, February 22. The championship is scheduled for Monday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Gene Polisseni Center on the campus of RIT. Pittsford is the top seed and is looking to defend its Class A title. The Panthers will look to capture its third title in four years. Sixth-seeded Fairport finished the season a four game winning streak highlighted by a 3-2 victory over Class B’s third-seed Webster Thomas. Here is the breakdown:
