Ne’Sean Fowlks buried a game-winning three-pointer from the corner with 4.9 seconds remaining to help Greece Athena rally from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit to remain unbeaten on the season. Fowlks finished with a dozen points, all on three-pointers, five rebounds, and four assists. Khorie Reaves was the leading scorer for Athena, totaling 15 points as well as making six assists, bringing down five rebounds, and adding four steals. Connor Osier had 10 points and eight rebounds, as well as three steals. Zee Johnson added eight points, five rebounds and three steals. Other scorers for the Trojans were I’zayah Reeves (6), Byron Williams (5), and I’Zick Reaves (3). Ben Sneddon paced Hilton with 25 points, including 17 that were scored in the first half. Brady Gerig supplied 13 points. Other scorers for the Cadets were John Bianchi (7), Andrew Lenhard (5), Jack Smith (4), and Tim Graziano (2).
Tuesday’s win marked the second time this season Athena erased a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter. The Trojans trailed Easy by 13 before rallying for a 65-58 victory. Athena trailed UPrep by six with less than four minutes to go before winning 62-60. Zee Johnson hit the game-winner in the closing seconds of that victory.

Xavier Smith scored a game-high 25 points and brought down 10 rebounds, and Jakson Schweigert scored eight of his 15 points in a fourth quarter that saw Greece Arcadia rally from a one-point defacit to earn the road win. Schweigert was 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and also finished with six rebounds and three assists. Bryan Gabriel added seven points, two rebounds, and two assists. . Other scorers for Arcadia were Lincoln Fling (5), Drake Sapp (5), and Jordan Roberson (2). Justin Smith led Batavia with 18 points. Aiden Brllavia jumpstarted Batavia with 10 of his 17 points in the first quarter. Carter Mullen chipped in a dozen. The Blue Devils trailed by three points at halftime. Junayde Richardson added nine points in the win. Markiest Griffin and Rory Rhone accounted for six points apiece. Tyrone Fisher (4), De’Andre Leonard (2) and Justice Stubbs (1) also scored for World of Inquiry. Cincere Moxley led Early College with seven points. Five players scored in double figures for York as the Golden Knights won their third game out of their last four. Connor Rodwell and Tyler Brady each supplied 16 points, and brought down seven and six rebounds respectively. Parker Bonafede chipped in 13 points and four rebounds. Joe Bauer and Jake Pangrazio had 12 points apiece, with Bauer adding four rebounds, four assists, and three steals, and Pangrazio pairing it with seven rebounds. Ryan Jaroszek tallied five points. Kellen O’Brien had a game-high 36 points, four steals, and two assists to pace Geneseo, including a school-record nine three-pointers. Avery Hepler finished with 13 points. Oren Ray made six assists. Jackson Willis (9) and Owen McDonald (5) were the other scorers for Geneseo.
“What small town rivalry game this was,” said York head coach Ed Orman, Jr. “I thought both teams battled hard and competed the way I expected. The guys in blue put on a show from deep, and really executed well defensively as well. Kellen O’Brien had a heck of a performance tonight on both ends of the court for Coach Hepler and as usual they had a great plan defensively and executed it well. I thought our balance showed and we fought through a ton of adversity to come through down the stretch, and Two of our seniors really stepped up as Connor and Tyler had big games This is about my 40th York Vs Geneseo game and they are always different, records don’t matter, the kids from both teams just go at it for 32 minutes and that happened again tonight.

“Huge division win tonight with a great crowd at our home court,” said Warsaw head coach Travis Fenstermaker. “The guys fed off the energy from the crowd and the pep band that was in attendance. Quinton hit some big shots in the second half that stopped any sort of run Le Roy was trying to get going. Ty Joy, David Shute, and Grant Campbell did a great job slowing down Merritt Holly.”

Mason Santini brought down 10 rebounds.

Bryce Tallman put up 16 points, four rebounds and three steals and Hunter Henchen added 15 points, five rebounds and four steals as Perry outscored Keshequa 55-30 over the last three quarters to pull away for the win. Tyler Harvey turned in 11 points. Emmit Hill (7) and Wyatt Arbo (6), Beau Slocum (4), and Trenton Washburn (2) were the other scorers for Perry. Ian Hinrich had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Keshequa. Owen Pike scored four three-pointers and ended with 15 points. Zach Smathers and Aidan Upright each added two points.

“Tonight was an exciting game in a great environment,” said Pembroke head coach Matt Shay. “It was back and forth the whole night and we were very fortunate to pull out the win against a talented and well-coached team. I was extremely proud of the guys who stepped up tonight. Sean had a big first half hitting three 3-point field goals and then Owen and Avery were huge in the second half giving us a big fourth quarter combined with Tyson.

Delisanti and Foster advance to state free throw championship
Anson Foster from Penn Yan made 20-of-25 free throws and Honeoye’s Matthew Delisanti made 17-of-25 shots to win the Western Regional Elks Free Throw Competition. Delisanti and Foster will compete against three other regional winners at the state finals in March looking to advance to the national semi-finals. Foster will compete in the 12 and 13-year old division. Delisanti is in the 10 and 11-year old division. Drew Battle of Canandaigua knocked down 18-of-25 shots to win second place in the 8 and 9-year old division.
