Mackie Terry scored a game-high 29 points, swiped five steals, and picked up four assists and four rebounds as Aquinas outscored Vertus 49-23 over the second and third quarters to pull away for the win. Jadeir Breedlove scored 16 of his 20 points over those two fateful quarters and additionally bagged four steals and a pair of assists. Chris Leysath brought down a team-high 16 rebounds and paired it with a dozen points and three steals. Christian McCollugh scored seven of his nine points in the third quarter and tallied three steals and three assists. Other scorers for the L’il Irish were Quante Gillians (4), Tyler Klawon (3), Derrion Battle (2), Trent Buttles (2), Micah Anderson (2). Talhah Ali paced Vertus, scoring 18 of his 20 points in the second half. Reginald Pough scored 11 points. Dah’mere Brown and Trea’Vion Young-Mckenzie scored 10 points apiece. Miles Caviness tallied 13 of his game-high 24 points in the third quarter as Gananda held on to its one-point halftime lead to earn the season sweep against Sodus. Hunter Vogt had an eight-point second quarter and totaled a dozen on the night. Cooper Brassel scored all 10 of his points in the first half. Brayden Dohse knocked down two fourth-quarter three pointers for six of his seven points. Other scorers for the Panthers were Aidan Giancursio (5), Erik Wisnaski (2), and Owen Switzer (2). Evan Laird buried four three-pointers and ended with 16 points. Evan DeBadts and Marquez Wigent added 14 and 13 points respectively. Stefonn Pinkston chipped in nine points. Dan Preston led the Bombers in scoring with a dozen points. Jordan Nunn contributed seven points. Marlo Henry and Eli Tanner each had six points. Jordan Genge splashed four three-pointers and scored 16 points to pace Williamson. Merritt Holly, Jr. led Le Roy with 41 points, his fourth game this season scoring at least 40, and brought down 14 rebounds as the Oatkan Knights rallied from a seven-point fourth quarter deficit to earn their seventh straight win. Holly had a 27-point second half/overtime and also added two blocks, two steals, and an assist throughout the game. Matthew Hockey scored all five of his points in the second overtime, burying a three-pointer with the shot-clock expiring to give Le Roy a seven-point lead and later hit a pair of free throws to ice the game. Hockey also made four assists and earned a steal. Jean Agosto came up with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Higgins finished with nine points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Other scorers for the Oatkan Knights were Adam Woodworth (5), and Thomas Condidorio (3). Jacob Pangrazio knocked down seven three-pointers and finished with 38 points for York, including two three-balls in the second overtime. Joseph Bauer put up a dozen of his 14 points in the first half. Tyler Brady had 10 points after going scoreless in the first half. Other scorers for the Golden Knights were Parker Bonafede (5), Connor Rodwell (4), and Joseph Munoz (2).
“I was proud of the way our guys battled and we had some opportunities to win the game but just didn’t cash them in down the stretch,” said York head coach Ed Orman, Jr. “Merritt and Jake (Pangrazio) put on a couple of really special individual performances and it was a great high school basketball game. We’ve built a really tough schedule in hopes of making ourselves tougher, for the post season, and unfortunately we’re learning some tough lessons about finishing games right now. I know these guys will use the close losses down the stretch to get better and grow.”

Carson Chaffee scored eight of his 16 points in a fourth quarter that saw Canisteo-Greenwood go on a 19-5 run to extend its lead for the Chargers’ 12th straight win. JJ Reese scored six points in the fourth quarter and also wrapped up with 16. Thomas Sirianni tallied a game-high 22 points with nine of them coming from beyond the three-point arc. Other scorers for Canisteo-Greenwood were Kevin Sirianni (4), Sage Klees (4), and Cole Chaffee (2). Macoy Putnam had a 16-point first half and finished with 18 points to lead Avoca-Prattsburgh. Chris Abbott knocked down two second-half three-pointers and totaled eight points. JJ Crowder and Dan Stilson both finished seven points. Other scorers for the Titans were Landon White (2), and Collin Hammond (1).
