Weekend Section V Hockey Wrap: Bischoping records a shutout for Portside; Batavia Notre Dame connects twice on the powerplay

FRIDAY’S GAMES

PORTSIDE ROYALS (9-3-1) 4
AQUINAS (5-7-0) 0
Liam Bischoping tallied a 17-save shutout to help them win four of their last five contests. Sal Balbi led the way with a two goal performance for the Royals. Zach Neu and Frank Grad each scored a goal and tallied an assist. Justin Pastorella and Zach Haines each registered a helper for Portside.

GREECE STORM (4-6-1) 3
Spencer Griffin tallied a three point effort to help Greece Storm snap its losing streak. Griffin scored a goal and tallied two assists. Brother Carter scored a goal and recorded a helper. Jayden Gargana added an empty net tally to seal the victory for the Storm. Camden Monks and Landon Howell each registered an assist.  Stratos Triantafilou stopped 41 of 42 shots he faced in the contest. Cameron Stewart scored the lone goal for Hilton on a penalty shot in the first period.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

BATAVIA NOTRE DAME (12-1-0) 3
PITTSFORD (8-2-1) 1
Two powerplay goals helped propel Batavia Notre Dame to its 11th straight win. Ivan Milovidov and Jameson Motyka found the back of the net with the advantage for the United. Milovidov scored unassisted while Motyka connected with Sam Pies and Joe DiRisio. Batavia Notre Dame finished the contest 2-for-4 on the powerplay. Brady Johnson also scored with an assist Orion Lama. David Pollard scored the lone goal for Pittsford with assists from Griffin Rizzi and Edward Wu.

SPARTAN HOCKEY (5-5-2) 5
Nick Maslowski scored twice to help Spartan Hockey end its winless streak. Ethan Hallock, Mason Wright, and Parker Monette also found the back of the net for the Spartans.

GENESEO/AVON/LIVONIA (1-9-1) 2
WEBSTER THOMAS (6-5-0) 5
Ryan Goel scored twice to guide Webster Thomas to back-to-back wins. Goel found the back of the net once on the powerplay and once at even strength. The senior also tallied an assist. Teddy Paprocki, Greg VanHeusen, and Alex Wright also scored for the Titans. Cam Hall added an assist for Webster Thomas.

Angelo Latore and Mason Maksymiu scored for Penfield in their defeat.

SUNDAY’S GAME

WFL PANTHERS (4-7-2) 7
Jack McCormack scored four goals to help the WFL Panthers end their winless streak. Collin Trapiss scored twice and tallied two assists for the Panthers. Isaac Pundt recorded two points with a goal and an assist. Graham Mauchly, Ryan Allen, and Sean Allen all registered an assist. Jace Ingram made 28 saves in net for WFL.
