United Soccer Coaches released its 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s All-Region teams which saw three former Section V players. From SUNY Brockport Russ Domm and from SUNY Geneseo Justin Arilotta and Joe Vogt.
Domm earned his second consecutive First Team All-Region selection after finishing the season with six goals and three assists in leading SUNY Brockport to a No. 2 seed in the SUNYAC. Domm also earned a spot on the First Team All-Conference in the SUNYAC. The junior from East Rochester returned after a season-ending ACL tear that ended his 2022 campaign early. Domm was part of back-to-back Class C1 championships in 2019 and 2020 at East Rochester. Domm will look to continue his collegiate career going into his senior year at SUNY Brockport.
Vogt claimed a Second Team spot starting all 19 games for SUNY Geneseo at center back. The junior from Penfield earned his second straight All-Region selection after being named on the First Team in 2022 as well as being selected to the First Team on the SUNYAC All-Conference team. Vogt scored two goals and added two more assists while helping SUNY Geneseo secure three clean sheets. Vogt helped Penfield to an undefeated season and 2020 AA title.
Rounding off the Section V representation, Justin Arilotta secured a spot on the Third Team after a Second Team selection in 2022. Arilotta scored eight goals and collected two assists helping SUNY Geneseo into the SUNYAC tournament. A Second Team All-Conference selection, the graduate student from Hilton finished his college career with 17 goals and nine assists including six game winning goals. Arilotta helped Hilton to the 2018 Class AA title beating Rush-Henrietta 2-1 in the final.
