Cam Stewart and Andrew Paolini led Hilton with a pair of two-point performances to keep the Cadets undefeated. Stewart opened the scoring in the first period. Paolini added to the Cadets’ lead in the second period. Luke Manley scored with about five minutes left in the second to put Hilton up three with an assist from Paolini. Cam Hall got Webster Thomas on the board in the third period. Casey Hanrahan scored in the third to put Hilton back up three with an assist from Stewart.

SPARTAN HOCKEY (1-0-0) 3
Nick Maslowski scored his first varsity goal to help Spartan Hockey start the season on the right foot. Jack Everts and Nolan Jeroy also found the back of the net for the Spartans. Spencer Griffin scored and tallied an assist for Greece. Landon Howell also scored for the Storm while Jayden Gargana and Jack Pilgram registered an assist.

WEBSTER SCHROEDER (0-1-0) 3
Sean Walsh led the way for Penfield with a three-point performance. Walsh scored the opening goal of the contest in the second period and added two assists later on. Bobby Kane tallied a multi-point effort with a goal in the third period and an assist. Travis Bush and Reece Holenbeck also scored for the Patriots. Corey Weiss, Mason Maksymiu, Thomas Obstarczyk, and Angelo Latore registered assists. TJ Swinson scored twice for Webster Schroeder including one on the power play while Nicholas Sellitto found the back of the net as well. Jake SanSoucie, Nolan Gamble, Zach Brollollo, and Nicholas Scott all recorded assists.

Joe DiRisio scored a hat trick to lead Batavia Notre Dame United to a season opening victory. DiRisio found the back of the net twice on the powerplay and once at even strength. Ivan Milovidov tallied five-points with them all being helpers. Jameson Motyka recorded four-points with a goal early in the second period and three assists. Brady Johnson scored late in the first period and added an assist. Jake Hutchins and Noah Whitcombe also scored for Batavia Notre Dame. Owen Bentley and Brennen Pedersen added an assist. Tyler Day scored the lone goal for Aquinas on the power play with assists from Mikey Dossier and Ares Miller.

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (0-1-0) 3
Emmet Landt capped off a two goal night for Brighton/HFL with the game-winning goal in the final minute. Landt found the back of the net with 14 seconds left in regulation with assists from Liam Lawrence and Grant Peinkopfer. Landt also opened the scoring for the Bruins about two and half minutes into the contest with assists from Patrick Rohr and Carson Meehan. Lawrence added onto the Bruins’ lead with a tally late in the period with a helper from Peinkopfer. Both Lawrence and Peinkopfer finished with three points on the night. Churchville came back to tie the game in the second period. Parker Farnham found the back of the net early in the period to cut the deficit in half with some help from Jesse Prue. Jake Herring tied the game up for the Saints later in the period with some help from Farnham. The Bruins were able to regain the lead before the period ended as Matthew Brassie Lawrence and Peinkopfer connected with Lawrence and Peinkopfer on the powerplay. Farnham tied the game up again late in the third with another assist from Prue, before Landt answered with the game winning in the final seconds of regulations.

Kevin Eckerd led the Portside Royals with a two-point performance to start the season on the right track. Eckerd found the back of the net and recorded an assist in his multi-point effort. Andrew Lamberton scored his first varsity goal in the victory. Sal Balbi, Kevin Eckerd, and Garrett Horn also scored for the Royals. Ryan Henchen and Landen Christ registered helpers. Sam Crane found the back of the net both times for Irondequoit. Taylor Filighera, Landon Bryan, and Alex McLaughlin tallied an assist.

CANANDAIGUA (2-1-0) 5
Maddox Smith and Josh Barnes both scored twice to help Canandaigua bounce back from a loss. Barnes scored in the first period on the powerplay and one at even strength in the second while Smith tallied both of his goals in the second frame including one on the powerplay as well. Henry Van Laeken also scored for Canandaigua while tallying an assist as well. DJ Spychalski tallied four assists in the victory. Alex Chen, Jed Smith, and Brody Spinoas also tallied assists. AJ Nelson potted two goals for Fairport while Andrew Crowley and Axel Black also found the back of the twine. Crowley also chipped in an assist. Mark Hiller led the way in points with three assists. Ryan Alexander also recorded a helper for the Red Raiders.
WEDNESDAY’S GAMES
GENESEO/AVON/LIVONIA (0-1-0) 2
WFL PANTHERS (1-1-0) 3
Collin Trapiss scored the game-winning goal unassisted about halfway through the third period to help the WFL Panthers bounce back from a season-opening loss. WFL took the lead in the second period after Jack McCormack potted two goals. Ryan Allen assisted on the first goal while Trapiss helped on the second one. Jack Ruter answered in the third period for Geneseo/Avon/Livonia with two goals of his own to tie the contest. Ruter’s goals were six seconds apart. Jack Noto and Ryan O’Duffy were credited with the assists. Trapiss ended the Lakers’ momentum with his third-period goal that ended up being the game-winner.
PITTSFORD (0-1-0) 2
MCQUAID (1-0-0) 5
A four-goal second period helped McQuaid start the season on a positive note. Jack Bovenzi scored the opening McQuaid goal in the first period with some help from Chase Brock and Jack Callery. Hunter DiProsa started the big period with a goal to put the Knights up by two 29 seconds into the period. Liam Palmer assisted on the tally. About 30 seconds later, Eli Wiegand scored his first of two goals in the contest with some help from Matt Hill. Roughly a minute later, Brock scored the Knights’ third straight goal on the power play with an assist from Eoghan Maier. Drew Ricketts stopped the McQuaid scoring run to get Pittsford on the board with a power play goal that was assisted by Bradley Pollard and Carter Champion. Wiegand scored for the second time in the period on the power play with assists from Maier and Palmer. Keegan Garver scored the second goal for Pittsford with the man advantage with help from Ian Erskine and Brady McMahon. McQuaid finished a perfect 2-for-2 on the power play while Pittsford finished 2-for-3 with the man advantage.

Harrison Allen scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation to help Webster Schroeder win a back-and-forth contest. McQuaid on the board first with a goal by Matt Kozara about half way through the first period with assists from Connor Edgecombe and Eli Wiegand. TJ Swinson tied the game up for the Warriors late in the first with an assist from Zach Broccolo. The second period featured seven goals between the two teams. Matt Hill and Jack Callery puts the Knights in front by two early in the second. Callery and Lou Zaari assisted on Hill’s tally while Jack Bovenzi assisted on Callery’s. Tucker Derks cut into the Knights’ lead with a goal on the powerplay that was assisted by Swinson. Zaari put McQuaid back up by two with assists from Callery and Hill. Nolan Gamble scored two goals 36 seconds apart to tie the game late in the middle frame. Swinson assisted on the first tally while the second one went unassisted. Callery picked his second goal of the period on the powerplay with 10 seconds remaining. Liam Palmer and Wiegand assisted on the man advantage tally. Nicholas Sellitto and Allen gave Webster Schroeder its first lead of the contest early in the third period. Broccolo assisted on Selitto’s goal while the senior assited on Allen’s first tally of the contest. Callery tallied his first hat trick of the season and capped off a five-point performance to tie the game with just over five minutes left in the contest. Allen’s game-winner was his second of the contest and was assisted by Gamble.
