The top two seeds in Class C football will meet in Brockport on Saturday at 5 P.M. in the Section V Football Finals. Le Roy and Attica/Alexander have already met this season, with Le Roy handing Attica their lone defeat, but the game on Saturday has far higher stakes. Here’s the breakdown:
No. 1 seed Le ROY OATKAN KNIGHTS (10-0 , 8-0 in class play)

No. 2 seed ATTICA/ALEXANDER BLUE DEVILS (9-1, 7-1 in class play)
How they arrived here: Le Roy started their sectional tournament with a 33-22 win over No. 8 Penn Yan/Dundee in the quarterfinals, and then beat No. 4 East Rochester/Gananda in the semifinals, 37-6. On the other side of the bracket, Attica/Alexander opened their tournament with a 34-7 win over No. 7 Livonia before defeating No. 3 Letchworth/Warsaw/Perry in the semifinals, 42-0.

Last Meeting: These teams met on Sept. 29 in Le Roy, with the Oatkan Knights winning, 44-27. Tony Piazza ran for 172 yards and four touchdowns for Le Roy in the win while also making seven tackles on defense.
History 101: Attica won last year’s Class C sectional with a 16-8 victory over ER/Gananda, clinching their first Section V title. Alexander, by itself, last won a title in Class D in 2018, having also won in 2016.
Le Roy fell in the semifinals last season to ER/Gananda. They’ve won 15 sectional titles, including 12 in Class C, their most recent coming in 2014.
What’s Next: The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to face their Section VI counterpart on Nov. 18 in the Far West Regional Championships.
