Sam Nick finished a double shy of a cycle while Charlie Underhill went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored as the Bombers erased an early deficit to stay undefeated. Nick’s inside-the-park home run to lead off the third tied the game at six. Underhill followed with a walk and eventually scored the go-ahead run later in the inning. One frame later, Nick drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Underhill put the game out of reach with a two-run single. Nick was 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Chris Ahle singled, walked and scored two runs in the win. Grant Distaffen walked twice and scored twice. Dwyer Boyzuck was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Kieran walked and scored. Gerald Hitchcock collected an RBI while George Wilmot scored a run for the Bombers.
Hayes struck out one and allowed three runs on two hits and two walks over four innings of relief work including a 1-2-3 seventh. Nathan Scozzaro drove in a pair of runs with a double as the Bucs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first. Brody Kwoka led the game with a base on balls. Iwan Taylor-Casamayor followed with a single, and Oscar Roger loaded the bases with a walk. One out later, Kevin Schmitt started the scoring with a bases-loaded walk before Scozzaro connected to bring in Taylor-Casamayor and Roger. Kwoka walked and eventually scored on a wild pitch to give the Bucs a 6-4 lead in the second inning. Kwoka scored three runs in the game. Roger and Taylor-Casamayor both went 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Brayden Delly was 1-for-3 at the plate and struck out two over two innings of relief work. Chase Sullivan scored a run.
