Jack Dunn delivered for the Rochester Red Wings with a two-strike, two-out, two-run double to complete the second comeback in as many nights as Rochester defeated the Worcester Red Sox, 6-5 Friday evening.

Jake Noll and Drew Millas both reached base to open up the inning. Noll doubled to lead off the final frame while Millas collected a base hit to move Derek Hill who replaced Noll to third. Dunn’s double came when all hope seemed lost for Rochester.

Friday’s ballgame started by each team trading solo home runs through the first four innings.

Erick Mejia blasted the first long ball for the Wings in the first inning with an out to left center field. Trevor Story responded in the bottom half of the inning with a shot to left center as well.

Ronaldo Hernandez the following inning gave Worcester its first lead of the ballgame.

Jacob Nottingham tied the game up for Rochester two innings later with a one out solo home run to center in a one strike count.

Jeter Downs the following inning drove in Millas via a sacrifice fly to regain the lead for Rochester.

Worcester regained the lead in the bottom half of the fifth on a wild pitch that scored Ryan Fitzgerald and an RBI double from Nick Sogard.

Fitzgerald extended the lead for the Red Sox in the sixth with a base hit that brought Hernandez around to score.

Dunn drove in his three runs in the final two innings to complete the comeback for Rochester as they were victorious 6-5 for the second straight evening.

Joan Adon got the start for Rochester as he struck out seven over five innings while giving up four runs on four hits and two walks. Tommy Romero earned the win out of the bullpen as he fanned three over three innings and the righty only gave up one run on two hits. Luis Cessa earned his second save of the series and third of the season as he pitched a clean final inning fanning two in the process.

The Rochester Red Wings (14-11/48-50) will look to pick up the series victory against the Worcester Red Sox (14-10, 53-46) Saturday at 4:05 p.m. It will be the battle of the southpaws as Rochester will send Anthony Banda (0-2, 7.88) to the mound and Brandon Walter (1-5, 6.08) will be on the bump for Worcester.
