Thomas Bryant is heading to South Beach.
Bryant is coming off a 2022-23 season where he played for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers traded Bryant to the Nuggets on February 9.
Part of Denver’s NBA championship-winning season, Bryant appeared in 18 games and averaged 4.6 points-per-game (PPG) during his time with the Nuggets. With the Lakers, Bryant appeared in 41 games, where he averaged 12.1 PPG, 6.8 rebounds-per-game (RPG) and 21.4 minutes-per-game (MPG).
The Heat lost to the Nuggets in the NBA Finals in five games.
Bryant started his varsity high school basketball career with Bishop Kearney High School. As a sophomore, he led the Kings to a Class AA state title and the federation tournament crown in 2013.
After two campaigns with Huntington Prep in West Virginia, Bryant played two seasons at Indiana University. Bryant was picked 42nd by the Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Bryant spent one season with Los Angeles and, after a stint with the NBA G-League’s South Bay Lakers, he played four seasons for the Washington Wizards.
So far in six NBA seasons, Bryant has averaged 10.1 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 19.7 MPG. He’s also shot 74 percent from the free-throw line.
