The Fighting Irish then topped fifth-seed Campbell-Savona, 6-3 to clinch a spot in the Class C2 championship, where they won 3-0 over No. 3 seed Bolivar-Richburg. Sodus beat fellow Wayne County rival and No. 8 seeded Williamson 11-2 in the quarterfinals and took down No. 4 seed Avon 9-6 in the semi-finals. A 4-3 win over No. 3 seed Bloomfield gave the Spartans the Class C1 championship.

History 101: After winning their 11th sectional title in program history, Notre Dame-Batavia is trying to qualify for their first regionals since 2014, a year in which they ended up making it to the NYS Class D state semi-finals. This is Sodus’ first regional qualifier appearance since 2003, and a win would give Sodus its first appearance in the NYS Far West Regional.
