Penfield struck first on Tuesday, as Nadia Zach led off the first with a single before moving to second on a sacrifice and then to third on a passed ball before coming home on a Teona Cruz groundout. Johnson responded with a six-run second inning and later added seven in the fourth to pull ahead, 13-1. Elyse Zarzycki knocked in Victoria Campana with a one-out groundout in the seventh for Penfield’s second run. Clare Magee threw an inning of scoreless relief.

EASTRIDGE 15 (SIX INNINGS)
Harper Kuehne struck out 11 in a three-hit day in the circle while going 2-for-4 with an RBI at the plate. Eastridge began scoring in the first inning with a four-run rally with two outs. Both Carly Brockman and Emma Johnson stole home, Caitlynn Georgetti had an RBI single, and Mykelis Lugo drew a bases-loaded walk. Eastridge added eight more runs in the fourth, including a two-RBI single by Marly Siembor, a steal of home by Nevaeh Bunch, and a second steal of home by Johnson. The mercy rule activated after a three-run sixth by Eastridge. Brockman led Eastridge by going 3-4 with a walk. Anais Serrano led the Greece offense with two of their three hits.

Liana Devalder threw a one-hitter with 12 strike outs and finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Schroeder’s second straight win. Bizzie Baglieri hit a solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the first to begin scoring, 1-0. Schroeder got on the board again in the third, as Kinsley Keil knocked in Leah Murray on a groundout to extend the lead to 2-0. Later in the third, Devalder singled with two outs to drive in Mikayla Bengsch, and Sam Schoenhardt followed with a double to move the score to 4-0. Liverpool scored in the top of the fourth on a two-run home run. Murray went 2-for-2 with a run scored.

A late rally came up short for Fairport in Tennessee. With two outs and the bases loaded, Magdelena Brei singled on a grounder to right to score Hannah Radomski and keep the bases loaded for Juliana Catalano, who narrowed the Forbush lead to two when she reached on an error that allowed Lauryn Smith and Millie Reed to score. Kailey Gardner and Amanda Linnenbrink combined to allow three hits and two earned runs on the day, while Catalano led Fairport at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a triple. Nicole Allen also tripled.

A Petra Hunt double with two outs in the third scored Tia Lehtonen for Sutherland’s lone run. Lehtonen had a hit, a run, a stolen base, and was hit-by-pitch during the game.

Carmelia Phelan went 2-for-3 with a stolen base to lead Bishop Kearney. Down 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Sarah Skirpnik tied the game with a triple to right before getting knocked in by Leah Jacobs later in the inning to pull Bishop Kearney ahead, 2-1. Spring Valley scored one each in the fifth and sixth to win.

A late comeback in the top of the seventh fell short for Midlakes in Myrtle Beach. Catelin Couillard went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a triple. That triple led off the game and set up an RBI groundout by Olivia Miles to give Midlakes an early 1-0 lead. St. Hubert responded with six unanswered runs to make the game 6-1 until a Kenzie Turner single and an Emma LaBour sacrifice fly in the third narrowed the Hubert lead to 6-3. The two teams traded runs until the seventh, when Midlakes started a comeback while down 8-4. Mary Givens walked and Couillard singled to begin the inning. The runners then moved to second and third on a passed ball before two straight RBI groundouts got Midlakes to within two. Midlakes was unable to close the gap anymore and the 8-6 score was the final. Turner went 2-3 with a walk and two RBI and a stolen base on the day.
