Mekenna Hobson finished 2-for-5 including a pair of run-scoring singles to highlight a late-inning rally. Hobson plated Carrie Sidare and Kylie Bickert with a two-out single to tie the game in the top of the seventh. The senior catcher then capped a five-run eighth with another two-out, two-run base rap. Olivia Steinorth struck out six over three shutout innings of relief to pick up the win. At the plate, Steinorth finished 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBI. Audrey Steinorth went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Sidare was 2-for-3 with a home run, stolen base and three runs scored. Elizabeth Gleghorn led the way for Rush-Henrietta, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, and two RBI. Lizzie Rinella had a hit and an RBI. Robyn Bond singled and walked twice.

Jalissa Crittenden struck out 12 in a complete-game effort while collecting two hits and two RBI at the plate to help Eastridge rally for a win in their opener. Crittenden started the scoring in the third with a single that brought in Harper Kuehne. The ninth-grader reached on an error in a four-run fifth as the Lancers erased a 3-1 deficit. Mykelis Lugo, Kuehne and Natalie Bunch started the fifth with back-to-back-to-back hits. Bunch’s bunt single scored Lugo to cut the deficit to one. Kuehne scored on a passed ball to tie the game, and Bunch came home with the go-ahead run on Crittenden’s ground ball. Pinch-runner Josslyn Siembor scored on a sacrifice fly from Emma Johnson. Bunch finished the game 2-for-2 with a walk. Kuehne was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Crittenden surrendered three runs (none earned) on four hits and three walks. Arcadia’s Cayla Raye was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Karli Valdes singled, walked and scored. Lily DeFrees drove in a run with a single. Carly Cegielski walked twice and scored a run. Sara DeSantis had an RBI and a run scored. Allison Aywulski struck out 11 for the Titans.
