Jack Armanini singled to bring home Jaxon Bernas and Max Vorrasi in the bottom of the fourth inning as Sutherland erased a deficit to win its opener. Thomas Carter struck out nine while allowing four hits and one walk. The senior retired nine of the first 11 he faced with five strike outs during the stretch. Owen Osbourne also recorded a hit.

Andrew Wilson, Kaeden Laureano and Brayden Scaccia combined for shutout to lead Brockport. Wilson started on the mound finishing with 3.1 scoreless innings, striking out six. Laureano pitched one inning striking out two batters and Scaccia finished the game allowing two hits and striking out three in 2.2 innings. Scaccia went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Cooper Harvey and Zachary Richards each recorded a hit and Harvey recorded one RBI.

GREECE ATHENA (1-0) 12
Conor Osier and Jaden Madrid combined for a one-hit shutout to lead Greece Athena. Osier started and struck out five batters over five no-hit innings. Madrid came in for relief and hurled two scoreless innings allowing one hit. Madrid scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the first to open the scoring for Athena in an inning that ended with the Trojans taking a 6-0 advantage. Valencio Almborg-Perez singled to score Osier. Riley Cantena then Sammy Butera singled to score Nate Hall. Almborg-Perez scored off a Derrick Allen single and Madrid brought in the final run of the inning with a sacrifice fly that scored Ben Weilert. Athena extended its lead with a five-run bottom of the fourth inning. Almborg-Perez, Butera, Hall and Allen all crossed home plate. Allen went 3-for-4 scoring two runs and driving in another two. Athena finished with 12 hits with Sammy Saucke recording 2 hits with one RBI and Madrid finishing 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Trailing 4-0, Penfield scored two runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to two but couldn’t claw back. Travis Bush singled and scored Colin Cowley and Gabe Reyes. Aiden Cook went 3-for-4 with one RBI and Austin Dillenbeck and Nick Masters also finished with a hit.

Tyler Mudge allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits over 5.1 innings to lead Wayne. Mudge struck out three without allowing a walk. Peter Treasure Jr. gave up one hit over an inning and two-thirds of scoreless relief to pick up the save. Michael Prentice scored the first run of the game for Wayne off a Sean Nellis RBI groundout. Gates-Chili quickly answered with a home run by Cole Gorman in the bottom half of the first inning. Mudge scored on a Lucas Kielon single in the top of the fourth to give the one-run lead back to Wayne. The Eagles scored the winning run in the top of the sixth as Nellis drove in Brady Ruffell on a two-bagger. The Spartans cut the lead to one with a flyout by James Connolly that scored Gorman. Connolly pitched six innings for Gates-Chili allowing five hits, three runs and striking out eight.

Shaun Cannon doubled in the top of the fifth as Spencerport used a five-run inning to pull away. Cannon finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Kyle Milburn walked leading to Zach Lamberton scoring to begin the fifth inning scoring. Frank Grad IV singled scoring Andrew Wiebeld and Grad scored the final run of the inning on an error. Milburn singled in the sixth and Lamberton scored and Cannon scored on a Lamberton single for the Rangers final run of the game. Lamberton pitched five innings striking out five and allowing two runs (0 earned). Nicholas Freville came in for relief and pitched two hitless innings.

Noah Lerner-Morelle scored Pittsford Mendon’s only run off a wild pitch, Lerner-Morelle finished 1-for-2. Colden Forney finished 1-for-2 with a walk, Nate Perrone went 1-for-3 and Jaden Singer went 1-for-3. Lerner-Morelle pitched five innings allowing four runs off six hits. Eli Charatz and Ishan Srivastava pitched a combined one inning in relief allowing two runs off one hit.

Michael Whelehan scored the lone Hilton run going 1-for-4. James Capellupo had an RBI and Michael Heise went 1-for-2 with a walk. Andrew Lenhard and Michael Heise combined for one inning pitched in relief allowing five runs off three hits. The game took place at Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

Lucas Leone brought home Tre’ Walker with an RBI groundout, and Ryan Lewin scored on a Caleb Wilson ground out to give Aquinas a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Walker extended the lead with an RBI triple that scored Jimmy Marotta in the fifth inning for a 3-0 Li’l Irish lead. Wilson started and struck out seven over 5.2 innings. Walker finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Connor Forkey singled to bring Roger Friedlander home as McQuaid overcame a late two-run deficit in Vero Beach. Ian Fleck recorded one RBI to open the scoring in the first inning, reaching on an error as John Wilmarth scored. Sam Stone singled in the fourth inning to give the Knights their one-run cushion back as Fleck scored. Kevin Nagel reached on an error and Wyatt Gray and Stone scored to tie the game at four in the sixth inning. McQuaid went into the seventh inning with a two-run lead as Fleck walked and Nagel scored. Fleck finished 1-for-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Stone went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Nagel finished 0-for-2 with 2 RBI. Preston Foryt started on the mound allowing four runs (1 earned) off four hits in 5.2 innings worked. Matt Wilmarth relieved Foryt and pitched one inning allowing no hits and striking out two.

Ian Goodness and Tyler Wolcott combined for a shutout to help lead Palmyra-Macedon. Goodness struck out eight and allowed two hits over 3.2 innings to pick up the win. Wolcott fanned two over and allowed one hit over 3.1 innings of relief. Noah Brooks hit a home run with the first at bat to open the scoring. Goodness doubled to score Brooks in the top of the third. Brennan Pipitone scored on an error in the top of the fourth. Pipitone drove in a run with a single that scored Christian Morrison and Pipitone scored his second run off a Caleb Carr base hit. JB Conklin also singled and scored.

Logan Bulman pitched a full game striking out 13 of his 24 batters faced and allowing two hits to lead Sodus. Bulman singled in the fourth to score Jacob Laird before scoring on a passed ball to extend the lead to two. Laird scored the final run of the game on a Bulman ground out. Bulman went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Jacob Laird went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Brady Wadsworth and Henry Shutts both went 1-for-3 and Shutts pitched six innings allowing three runs (1 earned) on three hits striking out 11 for Gananda.

Carter Sloan went 3-for-4 including a walk-off triple to pace Brighton. Sloan plated Wes Sturrup with a two-out three-bagger for the game winner. Sturrup reached on an error with two outs to set the stage. Sloan also singled and brought home Sturrup and Nickolas Martinez to give the Bruins an early lead in the bottom of the third. Cole Fikes tripled and stole home in the fifth. Nick Bonnell started and allowed one run on four hits and two walks over six innings of work on the mound. Bonnell retired 12 of the first 13 he faced and struck out four in the outing. Grady Hopkin struck out the side in the seventh and picked up the win in relief. Hopkin also finished 1-for-3 at the plate. Andrew Kotrides singled and walked. Will Pecor also reached via base on balls.
