Garrett Clar led Victor to a Division I regular season title. Jason Gibbs paced Churchville-Chili in scoring and Gio Schillaci helped Webster Schroeder win the Division II regular season title. Jackson Green led Pittsford Mendon to its fourth straight double-digit victory season. Cordell Young (Eastridge) tallied the most points Monroe County. The junior forward and the senior guards were named the Players of the Year for their respective divisions as announced by Monroe County coaches.
Clar earned Monroe County Division I Player of the Year finishing with 348 points, averaging 16.8 PPG and helped Victor win the Division I title. Clar led Victor to a 18-2 record, posting seven 20-point games scoring a season-high 27 points on three separate occasions. The first coming against Pittsford Mendon in a 65-56 win. The next two were back-to-back coming against Hilton and McQuaid. Clar also added 3.6 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.5 SPG, shooting just under 50 percent from three (57-for-117).
Clar’s teammate Nick Leonard was named to Monroe County Division I First Team averaging 8.7 PPG and appearing in 19 of the 20 regular season contests.
Brighton teammates Troy McPherson and Reggie Smith Jr. were named to Monroe County Division I First Team leading the Bruins to a 14-6 record. Smith finished first in scoring with 344 points averaging 17.2 PPG while McPherson finished just behind him with 342 points averaging 18 PPG.

Zac Ditzel earned a spot on Monroe County Division I First Team as he helped Fairport record a 11-9 record, Ditzel scored 309 points over the 20 games averaging 15.5 PPG.Hilton’s Brady Gerig rounded out the First Team for Monroe County Division I. Gerig finished with 13.9 PPG and scored a total of 236 points.
Gibbs and Schillaci earned Co-Player of the Year honors for Monroe County Division II. Gibbs scored 459 points averaging 22.9 PPG. Gibbs appeared in 19 of Churchville-Chili’s regular season games shooting 73.4 percent from the line and making 30 three-pointers. The senior guard also added 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Schillaci led Webster Schroeder to a Monroe County Division II title with a team-high 16.3 points per game (335 points total). Schillaci netted two 29-point games, one against Hilton and the other versus Gates-Chili. Schillaci posted 3.9 RPG, 1.1 APG and 1.4 SPG appearing in all 20 regular season games for the Warriors.
Schillaci’s teammate Jonathan McCaffrey was named to Monroe County Division II First Team scoring the second most points on the team with 271, averaging 13.5 PPG.
Shawn Mason helped Webster Thomas finish with a 14-6 record and earned a spot on the Monroe County Division II First Team. Mason netted the most points on his team with 300 points averaging 15 PPG over the 20 game regular season.
Spencerport’s Bryon Streb earned a spot on Monroe County Division II First Team. Streb led the Rangers in scoring with 350 points averaging 19.4 PPG. Streb scored his season-high 35 points against School of the Arts in a 53-49 win on January 24th.
Kani Mitchem led Gates in scoring with 343 points averaging 18 PPG. Mitchem earned a spot on Monroe County Division II First Team and scored his season-high 36 points in a game against Brighton on February 1st which saw Gates-Chili fall 85-56.
Jackson Green earned Monroe County Division III Player of the Year honors helping Pittsford Mendon to a 12-8 record. Green finished second on the team in scoring despite being limited to 12 games. Green posted 18.6 PPG and shot 37.5 percent from three-point range. Green scored his season-high 29 points twice, first against Batavia in a 63-59 win. The second against Irondequoit in a 65-53 win. Green also added 8.2 RPG, 4.1 APG and 1.7 SPG.
Irondequoit teammates Ryan Heath and Xavier Gissendanner earned a spot on the Monroe County Division III First Team. Heath netted 384 points averaging 20.2 PPG while Gissendanner posted 309 points averaging 16.3 PPG. They combined to help Irondequoit finish 16-4 in the regular season.
Zee Johnson and Khorie Reaves helped Athena finish 16-4 and earn spots on the Monroe County Division III First Team. Johnson finsihed third in team scoring with 226 points averaging 11.9 PPG. Johnson scored a season-high 44 points against rival Greece Arcadia on Febuary 6th in a 83-48 win. Reaves led the Trojans in scoring with 376 points averaging 18.8 PPG.
Sam Pisanelli rounded out the Monroe County Division III First Team as he helped Pittsford Sutherland to a 13-7 record. Pisanelli scored a team-high 295 points averaging 15.5 PPG.
Young averaged 27.3 points per game and earned the Monroe County Division IV Player of the Year. The Eastridge senior finished with two 40-point games, seven 30-point games and five 20-point games. Young netted 42 points against Spencerport on December 28th and matched that effort in the Lancers’ regular-season finale in a 78-68 win over Newark. The 5-foot-9 guard shot 64.4 percent from the line and 34.2 percent from behind-the-arc. He added 6.5 RPG, 3.2 APG and 2.6 SPG for the Lancers.
Batavia’s Carter McFollins and Javin McFollins earned spots on the Monroe County Division IV First Team. Javin McFollins led the team in scoring with 254 edging his brother by four points. Javin posted 13.4 PPG and Carter netted 13.1 PPG helping Batavia finish 16-4.
Ma’Ron McDonald led Greece Odyssey and earned a spot on the Monroe County Division IV First Team. McDonald posted 428 points averaging 21.4 PPG. The Leopards senior scored a season-high 33 points on January 6th against Eastridge.
Honeoye Falls-Lima senior Nolan Smith rounded out the Monroe County Division IV First Team selections. Smith scored 325 points averaging 18 PPG including a season-high 26 points against Livonia on December 16th.
