One team is looking to reach the state quarterfinals for the first time since 2011, the other since 2014. Andover/Whitesville and Keshequa will battle for a spot in the NYS Class D Far West Regional on Tuesday. Here’s the breakdown:

Current streak: Andover/Whitesville has won eight straight. Keshequa has won four in a row and eight of nine.
How they arrived here: Andover/Whitesville defeated No. 9 Houghton Academy, 65-28, in the quarterfinals and followed it up by knocking off No. 5 Hammondsport, 47-38, in the semis. Andover/Whitesville overcame Elba, 58-55 in the Class D2 title game. Keshequa coasted past No. 9 Mount Morris, 60-26, in the quarterfinals and followed it up by rolling No. 4 Genesee Valley/Belfast, 44-23, in the semis. The Indians went on to defeat Lyndonville, 58-41 to lift the Class D1 title.

History 101: Whitesville most recently played in the 2011 NYS Tournament where they advanced to the semifinals falling to Chateaugay. Keshequa reached the Class C regional qualifier in 2020 and fell to Pembroke. The Indians played in the 2014 Class C Far West Regional.
What’s Next: Winner advances to the NYS Class D Far West Regional on Saturday to play the Section VI representative, Randolph.
