Garrett Clar shook off a sluggish first half tallying 13 of his 18 points in the second as Victor muscled its way onto the sectional finals. The junior netted five-of-five free throws and six field goals, including five inside the arc. Nick Leonard contributed 15 points, 10 of which came in the fourth stanza. Brennan Hopkins scored nine points. Victor will face Fairport in the Class AA final. For Webster Schroeder, Giovanni Schillaci notched 18 points. The senior guard dropped 14 points and four 3-pointers in the second half. Jake Insley logged seven of his 10 points in the first and fourth frames. Other scorers – Victor: Cam Ryan (8), AJ Queri (6), Griffen Hopkins (5), Ryan Dodge (5); Webster Schroeder: Jonathan McCaffrey (7), Anthony DeRosa (5), Jack Kelly (5), Jack Cannon (3), Drew Pagano (3)

Max Michalski posted a double-double as Pittsford Sutherland pulled out the win in double overtime to move on to the Class A2 finals. The junior forward netted 21 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in the winning effort. Dutch Pestorious scored three points and added 12 boards. Sam Pisanelli added 22 points of his own, knocking down two 3-pointers and going 3-for-3 from the line. Chandler Reynolds added five free throws in the second overtime frame to lead the scoring for Sutherland. Pittsford Sutherland advances to play East in the Class A2 final. For Monroe, senior guard Davion Jones led the scoring with 27 points including 13 in the third stanza. Jones also knocked down four 3-pointers and converted four foul shots. Senior forward Jaquan Shears notched 22 points. Other scorers – Pittsford Sutherland: Luke Fliss (10), Everett Wilcox (6), Ivan Goettler (2); Monroe: DaiQuon McKinney (10), Felton Gray (6), William McKinney (2), Elijah Harris (2)

Freshman guard Zion Parson scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half as East clinched a spot in the A2 finals. Quentin Gordon-Smith logged 10 points and knocked down three 3-pointers. The Eagles move on to the Class A2 final to face Pittsford Sutherland. For Wayne, senior center Alec Gilbert etched 15 points and converted six field goals inside the arc. PJ Ostrowski scored 12 points. Freshman guard Cam Blankenberg added eight points of his own. Other scorers – East: Zymier Jackson (8), Kesean Leonard (7), Kollin McCollough (4), Nigel Copeland (3), Micah Johnson-Breedlove (2), Kani McNeil (2); Wayne: Alex Reynolds (2), Jonah Schichtel (2), Sean Nellis (2)

CLASS D1

NO. 4 HARLEY-ALLENDALE-COLUMBIA (11-11) 39
NO. 1 AVOCA/PRATTSBURGH (20-2) 76
Haden Abbott tallied a game-high 25 points including four assists and six rebounds as Avoca/Prattsburgh cruised onto the Class D1 final. The junior forward etched 14 points in the third quarter alone and converted three 3-pointers. Senior guard Evan Campbell tallied 16 points. Macoy Putnam recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Putnam also collected six assists and four steals. Sawyer Devoe converted three field goals inside the arc and grabbed five rebounds. Dayton Putnam knocked down a free throw and logged seven boards. Avoca/Prattsburgh advances to face Notre Dame-Batavia in the D1 sectional final. For Harley-Allendale-Columbia, Ryan D’Arduini led the team with 13 points. Senior Ryan Curwin converted three 3-pointers. Awak Thongjang scored five of his seven points in the second half, including three conversions at the charity stripe.
