How they got here: Churchville-Chili (No. 16 NYSSWA Division II) earned a first-round bye to the semifinals by clinching the number one seed. Canandaigua picked up a quarterfinal victory over the defending Class B champions in the No. 4 seed Webster Thomas Titans 5-3.

Canandaigua is seeking its first Class B title since 2018 and its third title game appearance in six years. The last time the two teams met in sectionals was last season when the No. 5 seed Braves defeated the No. 4 seed Saints 5-4 in overtime.
What’s next: The winner will face either No. 2 seed Aquinas (13-7-1/Independent Division) or No. 3 seed Webster Schroeder (11-9-1/MCPSAC Division II) to determine the Class B sectional champion.

How they got here: Aquinas (No. 9 NYSSWA Division II) opened sectionals with a 6-1 victory over No. 7 seed Irondequoit. Webster Schroeder (No. 19 NYSSWA Division II) started its sectionals with an 8-0 victory over No. 6 seed Geneseo/Avon/Livonia.

Trends: Aquinas has won its last two games and has only given up one goal in those games. The Li’l Irish have not been shutout all season. In the quarterfinals, Webster Schroeder recorded its first shutout victory since November 29. The Warriors have won three of their last five games.
