The 2023 Section V Class C1 Boys’ bracket features three teams from both Livingston County and Wayne County, two squads each from Finger Lakes East, Private-Parochial League and Steuben County along with one more from the Genesee Region. The tournament opens with first-round games on Tuesday night and the finalists will meet on March 3rd to decide the championship.
Avon, the reigning champion, is seeking its third consecutive sectional title and ninth in program history. Rochester Academy, the top seed in ninth year of program existence, is looking for back-to-back sectional final appearances. Canisteo-Greenwood, the No. 6 seed, enters postseason play with six wins in its last seven games, including victories over Cuba-Rushford and Jasper-Troupsburg. Here’s the breakdown:
