The 2023 Section V Class AA Girls’ bracket features nine Monroe County teams, two Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) squads, a Private-Parochial League team and an Independent. The tournament opens with first-round games on Wednesday afternoon and the finalists will meet on March 4th to decide the championship.
Bishop Kearney, the reigning champion, is seeking its ninth sectional title since 2012. Webster Schroeder, the top seed, is looking for its second sectional title in program history and first since 1976 when the Warriors won the Class A championship. Victor, the No. 8 seed, enters postseason play with eight wins in its last nine games, including victories over Canandaigua, Edison Tech, East Rochester, Webster Thomas, Hilton and Aquinas.
