Jack Leasure Shooting and Skills Camp Sectional Preview: Girls’ Class A

The 2023 Section V Class A Girls’ bracket features 11 Monroe County teams, two Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) squads and one more each from the Finger Lakes East and Private-Parochial League. The tournament opens with first-round games on Tuesday night and the finalists will meet on March 4th to decide the championship.

Pittsford Mendon, the reigning champion, is seeking its seventh consecutive sectional title. Pittsford Sutherland, the top seed, is looking for its first sectional title since 2014 when the Knights won the class A1 championship. Sutherland has held nine of its last 11 opponents under 50 points. Third-seeded East has won 10 of its last 11 games. Webster Thomas, the fifth seed, has four straight victories including a win over East. Here’s the breakdown:
