Friday Hockey Wrap: Carr scores OT winner for Saints; Batavia/Notre Dame picks up two wins

Gavin Carr scored the overtime game-winner for the Saints. Carr also scored the third Churchville goal to give them a 3-2 lead in the second period. Parker Farnham scored his 11th goal of the season. Jesse Prue found the back of the net for his first of the season. Josh Kimble scored the first goal for Greece to tie the game a one in the first period. Aidan Candalari tied the game at two. Devin Palma tied the game for a third time with under a minute to go in the final period to force overtime.

Jack Callery tallied three points for the Knights’ fourth straight win. Callery scored the final goal in the third period. Bode Wehle tied the game for McQuaid in the second period. Roger Friedlander scored his first goal of the season moments after the Knights killed off a holding penalty. Liam Palmer found the back of the net to extend McQuaid’s lead late in the second period.

Cam Stewart led the way for the Li’l Irish with two goals and an assist. Ares Miller scored and assisted on three of the goals. Connor Mangone tallied three points all coming on the powerplay. Iesa Mohammed and Jonathan Blankenburg recorded two points. Chuck and Mike Dossier scored a goal for the Li’l Irish. Aquinas finished the game 3-for-4 on the powerplay. Andrew Gatti registered a 12-save shutout.

Logan Swartzenberg made 21 saves to register his first varsity win in goal for Spartan Hockey.

Joey Cinquino scored the lone Laker goal early in the first period with an assist from Christian Rumfola.

Cooper Hamilton tallied a four-point performance to extend Notre Dame/Batavia United’s winning streak to four games. Hamilton scored the lone Fighting Irish powerplay goal. Brady Johnson, Jake Hutchins, and Ronin Hofmaster recorded three points to all continue their point streaks. Ivan Milovidov, Jameson Motyka, and Joe DiRisio also scored for Notre Dame/Batavia United. Rhys Tanner made 18 saves on 20 shots in goal.

Ivan Milovidov scored twice for Notre Dame/Batavia United to extend its winning streak to a season-high five games. Brady Johnson and Jake Hutchins tallied two points for the Fighting Irish. Brady Carney and Ronin Hofmaster also found the back of the net. Jameson Motyka assisted on two of the goals. Frank Falleti Jr. made 27 saves on 29 shots.

Parker Farnham scored a hat trick and tallied an assist for the Saints’ second win in a row. One of Farnham’s goals came on the powerplay. Jake Herring recorded two goals that were scored back-to-back in the third period. Tyler Eberhart scored the first Chruchville goal at the 12:08 mark of the first period. Gavin Carr assisted on three of Chrucville’s goals. Tristan Harris saved 26 of 28 shots. Lucas Springer scored both of WFL’s goals in the second period.

Keegan Waldo registered 32 saves in the defeat.

HAMBURG (VI) 0
Alex Saracene scored twice as McQuaid completed a sweep against two Section VI opponents. Saracene’s goals gave the Knights a 2-0 lead in the first period. Drew Palmer and Jack Callery scored to extend McQuaid’s lead. Callery and Palmer scored in both games on their road trip to Buffalo. Evan Kopacz scored as well for the Knights.
